He presses well by chasing shadows for 60-70 minutes, which leaves him gassed and we're completely without him at that point.

We would certainly have been relegated without him, but having players of his quality (or lack of) are part of the reason why we've been at the wrong end of the table for so long.

This is the problem with Doucs - much like alcohol he has been the (partial) cause of, and solution to, all our problems.

Yes his endurance is good. But I don't think his pressing has been as effective this year. Think he's lost a step or two. We really need to get away from defense being the primary role for our 10.

I think ideally it’s a firm handshake and a ‘thanks for everything’ in the summer. If he were to get another year on massively reduced terms it can’t be as a starter.
