Very confusing that he keeps persisting with Doucoure at the expense of other players. Especially in the situation we have where we can afford to be a bit more experimental and give players a go. What else does he need to see from Doucoure at this point?

I’ve got a crap ton of respect for Eggs but I wouldn’t say he’s a mate, fans have their liked players, not everyone will have the same. What’s not needed is being a petty narcissist because it doesn’t fit your own personal viewpoint

We have a contender.

Earlier in the season Ndiaye put a cross in to Beto in a cup game and he managed to put it out for a throw instead of on goal. I was highly impressed.

Well today saw another glorious effort in the pantheon on well missed headers. Moyes on the sideline and the entire bench (except one player!) went through the role of dummy headering the cross that fell to Doucoure, and he similarly missed it by bloody miles.

If you don't look at it as sport but more an effort in comedic tomfoolery it makes everything brighter and easier to deal with.

I remember posting that Doucore was an absolute certainty for regular starts when Moyes came back unless a much better player with similar physical qualities was brought in. Others claimed that Moyes would see through him and drop him. It's like they'd never seen Moyes set up a team before.

The man absolutely adores endeavour, pressing and the ability to win headers in a number 10. Nobody in the current squad brings it more than Doucore so he gets games.

Better hope the current recruitment set-up has something closer to a prime Cahill/Soucek lined up or some other club has made him prime target with a big deal otherwise free agent Doucore is making an emotional return 'home' about a week before the window closes next season.

Dont think we need to play the 'scapegoat' card today but they were indeed both poor.

Doucoure was an abomination. I cant think of a single thing he added today

Would only sign him as a backup/squad player on way less wages, but have a horrible feeling Moyes will keep starting him.

I use the word hate frequently, but I hate him the most of a player in a long time. A long, long time. A long, long, long time even.

3 goals all season, 1 assist in such an important role.

I pray we don’t extend him.

Initially I thought a reduced deal was the way to move forward, but it’s best all round if he just goes.

It’s quite something a player who struggles to control or pass a ball is on 120k p/w. Hope for us all yet..

Thank him for his service during a tough period, especially the Bournemouth goal, and wish him all the best else where.
