I dunno about the Beto and Chermiti thing. Moyes fancied Broja at West Ham too, and to be fair he was looking promising a few years back but injuries have battered him. He was probably just having a look at him whilst he can.

Chermiti is still very young, been injured for a while and to be honest done next to nothing so far. His time may come but in an ideal world we are in a position to give him some game time next season either here or elsewhere.

Beto is just a weird player. Got some great unique traits and some massive flaws.
Not a big fan of. To but definitely improved under Moyes, it’s a shame that we never got to a DCL under Moyes.
Quite happy for all our forwards to go at the end of the season, but out of all of them Chermiti is the one I’d keep, just by the the fact he’s had less minutes and a good pre season last year. He also wouldn’t fetch much anyway.

DCL is a good player, he proved that in the season he had his purple patch. He isn’t a good Everton player for today, he is not what we need at this moment. He can’t create his own chances, he can’t help us defend, he isn’t a workhorse. If we were in the top six and playing progressive football whereby we created plenty of chances then no better man than DCL to tap them in, we aren’t that sort of team, we are probably 3 to 5 years away from that. He needs a different challenge and we need a different centre forward. We are the opposite of what each other need at the moment. He is better away from Everton and we are better off away from him. The mistake is that he wasn’t sold before his contract ran out, a typical Everton problem, hopefully one we will learn from.

I agree with a few points here but disagree with others.

He can defend and he created his last goal he scored himself v Spurs just off the top of my head

I am speaking generally, of course there will be exceptions. When he managed to get himself into the England team and was scoring more freely generally he was in the box using his physicality. That is my memory of him at that time.

I don’t think he wants to be here at all. Wish him all the best but we need a front man who will hit double figures each season. 20+ would be amazing but I’d be happy with 15+ to start with.

Agree, our problems have been in scoring goals emphasised by the number of draws we have. We need a more natural finisher. I do know that everybody is looking for similar and they are usually the most expensive signings.

It's best for everyone that he goes. DCL clearly has some talent but it's not worked out. Like a relationship that's gone sour it's best just to draw a line. His fashion sense rankled with some of the old school knuckleheads as well so he's better off at another club anyway

No reason for the situation not to be made clear to all now. We’re safe, he’s out injured and nothing to gain from silence.

Unless… there’s a chance he stays. I can only imagine he gets minutes if he’s trying for a contract extension. Absolutely no chance he risks further injury before a move and no chance Moyes plays him in meaningless games if he’s definitely leaving.

I think he’ll be here next season, and in a better Everton team he has something to offer, just praying he’s not automatic first choice.

His options will be looking rather thin at the minute.

Wouldn't be surprised if his people might want a little chat with the club.
He needs to just go mate, I think most fans have seen enough from him. If he resigns then Moyes will have a fair bit of bridge building to do between the fans who just see him as a bit of a nothing player.
