DCL is a good player, lets not be ridiculous. He is not a gifted finisher at all, but his hold up play and 1st ball winner is excellent. He actually fitted Dyche's system quite well, despite his low ratio in 1:1's, but I am not sure Moist wants to 'play that way' (soft cell?). Moist doesnt want to hoof it up high and hard, he wants slide rule passes on the ground that exploit gaps in the opposion defence. Beto seemsed to do well with these at first and we have yet to see Broja get that service. Neither are the target man DCL is but lets not expect any of them to be all around good at everything. There are not many players who are.

We would.

That's kind of the issue though isn't it?

I don't mind him as a player to be honest but the old saying of the best ability is availability rings true here.
If/ when he leaves, be surprised if Broja is kept and Moyes clearly doesn’t fancy Beto or Chermiti so we’re going to need 2 forwards this summer.
Not overly confident on the club pulling this off.

I dunno about the Beto and Chermiti thing. Moyes fancied Broja at West Ham too, and to be fair he was looking promising a few years back but injuries have battered him. He was probably just having a look at him whilst he can.

Chermiti is still very young, been injured for a while and to be honest done next to nothing so far. His time may come but in an ideal world we are in a position to give him some game time next season either here or elsewhere.

Beto is just a weird player. Got some great unique traits and some massive flaws.

Think Moyes prefers Broja as hes tidier in possession. Given neither striker looks like scoring, guess it makes some sense.
Injuries can take their toll for sure, but Broja has no physical presence on the pitch that we’ve seen so far.
Never really trusted Moyes with strikers first time round so doubt much has changed either though.

He’s finished here now. Don’t want to hear his name mentioned again. As far as I’m concerned he’s not an Everton player.
He knows our finances are poor but sat on his contract for his and his agents greedy needs.

We should not play him even if he’s fit.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him retire from football, he's fulfilled his contract so doesn't owe us anything and he'll be a very wealthy young man.
