Heard a whisper today that while we have an obligation to sign him if he starts 9 games - i.e. Hes automatically an Everton player if he starts 9 games.

We also however have an option to sign him whether he starts 9 games or not.

Apparently the two things exist in the deal. ;)

I don't know who told you that mate but I know that's false information as I am he and he is me.

I assume you mean an option at a fixed fee, rather than just the opportunity to sign him that any club would have. It would be a very Everton thing to do to pay more for him than we needed to just because we forgot to pick him in a couple of dead rubbers.

Keep me right here, who are you including in our well stocked no10 position?
Ndiaye, Mcneil, Doucoure all ahead of him. Even if Doucoure leaves that still leaves Alacaraz as third choice. I'd much rather us sign actual wingers than force Ndiaye out of position again.

Death taxes and evertonians hating the most creative player in the squad. Did you learn nothing from Iwobi
Iwobi, was that the guy we sold for 80mil to one the best sides in the world ?? Or the other iwobi who went to Fulham. No way on this planet should doucoure be ahead of Alcaraz as a 10. And McNeil is also poor in that position imo, too slow and too one footed, this he creates loads is a bit of a myth as he takes every set peice. I’d happily sell McNeil

Iwobi wasn’t very good. Also there is absolutely nothing to suggest that Moyes would play McNeil or NDiaye ahead of Alcaraz at number 10.
Firstly Iwobi is and was obviously good. Also there's a lot to suggest he would given hes already picking Doucoure ahead of him there and said he wants to give Ndiaye a go

Are people just completely ignoring the evidence staring them in the face of Moyes not rating Alcaraz on purpose or what

6 goals in 123 appearances for an attacking player is absolutely chronic. He was alright.

He rates Doucs as a more effective number 10 right now, clearly. It’s guesswork who his next choice at 10 would be. Hopefully we’ll see.

I believe people are optimistically ignoring the evidence of it, because he looks like the 2nd most interesting attacker we have. People like to irrationally hope until its official, and so will make excuses as to why Moyes isnt playing him until then.

Of his 30 assists, 3 have been from a set piece
