Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

No. Some clubs get to decline any offers and keep their players and sell them for top whack on their own terms.

Everton take what's on offer after months of saying 'no sale' and then telling everyone they got top dollar for a player who pushed for a transfer.

Amazes me how many of our own fans continually fall for the utter BS the club feeds them and they never question any of it.
You said it, "and sell for top whack on their own terms". Everton didnt "take what's on offer" for Branthwaite last year even though we were in a pretty desperate situation. We are quick to criticise and slow to give credit. I think we may sell him this year but it will be very much on our terms and influenced by 3 key factors.
1. If he signs a new contract (need security of our asset if we don't sell)
2. If our valuation is met (every player has a sale price)
3. If we have a succession plan in place (This is key and something we have been poor at in the past)

Remind me who actually bid for JB last year.

We could save ourselves a fortune this summer...
Sell Branthy,Beto and Chermiti for £100m and invest it in repairing the holes in the roof at BMD so we don't get wet
And go with...
Pickers between the sticks
Patto and Mylenks as natural full backs
Recall Holgy to shore up defence with Tarks
Gueyey and Garners as water carriers
Harry and Niyaryey to supply the ammo from the flanks
Give Doucs new contract and use him and McNeilo for 45mins each in the hole
And give Keano a new contract and play him up top to bulge the onion bag

All managers have 1 goal: to win. They may have different ways of trying to achieve it, but that's the goal. If they don't do it, they very soon come under huge pressure. Therefore, they will play the percentages in a way that we as fans may disagree with, but we're not the ones getting the abuse and sacking when the gamble goes pear shaped.
I remember all those posters on here genuinely saying that Dyche was trying to get sacked

We seem to be linked to an awful lot of centre halves which for me is worrying, when we clearly have much more important positions to fill, striker / winger.
We still absolutely need a CB, make no mistake. The back ups are leaving after their contracts end, one of your starters is 32 (and now injured) and the other is linked away every window. The only other CB we have is currently playing RB. We’re probably going to bring in 2 CBs even if Branthwaite stays…

Alright, so I looked at this upcoming summer and solved it. Based on the rumors this appears to be 100% verified true.

We will resign Gana and Alcaraz and add:

Jonathan David F on Free
Egan-Riley CB on Free
Savona RB 15m
Diarra CM 25m
Fellows RM/W 15m
Ferran Torres RW 20m
Truffert LB 10m
Keeper no-one-cares-about Free
CM on loan
Winger on loan

Its a no brainer decision for David, and in the end we add everyone for the meager cost of 85m in transfer fees. Easy. Now I know what some of you are thinking, "I dont remember any rumors about Jonathan David", and that's becuase they have been smartly keeping that one on the down-low.

Rumours over here in Spain is that David ran down his contract to join his boyhood favourites Barcelona, but his reported signing on fee plus agents cost and wages demands means they aren't interested,so doubt we could afford him.
