I have at least one set of tv shows to watch and a few movies lined up. First Friday lunch that comes up is fish and chips with a vimto. (My wife detests the idea of drinking fizzy pop - she'd rather I have a beer as it's healthier). I haven't see the last 2 series of Stranger Things yet - so I am going to watch all that. Movies I have no idea about yet, but want to watch the old David Lynch Dune movie after the new ones and have a hankering for a bit of an 80/90s action movie marathon.Mate I find that first night I’m a bit lost, you have to endure a full week of it. After that first night though I’m right in my grove. I usually save a box set to start for the evenings to get me through the week. Usually something she wouldn’t entertain. I find I clean loads while she’s away so I don’t have to worry about her coming home to a mess. I find it relaxes me in the evening to know that everything is done. Usually I’ll order a little bag of kush to see me through the evenings then I don’t touch it till she goes away again the next year
I booked my week off today in work 16th-23rd August she’s away as they’ve confirmed the dates they’re away this year.
Due to my job I can partake in no non-legal pleasures. Otherwise I would be ordering the biggest bag of weed known to mankind. Only another 17 or so years to retirement and I'm off to the Amazon to go nuts on the ayahuasca to check if that's over-rated. I will report back in 2042 or so if the thread is still open.

Haha I’m lucky in work in an industry that don’t check, I used to smoke it a lot but now I have it just the once a year when she’s away. I get back from my day (usually golf), roll a little sweetheart to get the creative juices flowing and get straight into the kitchen to make my tea. The and the hound settle down for the evening.
I feel like Fish and chips demands a fizzy pop, beer with fish and chips is wrong. I can give you plenty of ideas for the box sets but I can’t comment on the original Dune as I’m a bit young for when they came out and by the time I realised how great the story was after the recent ones they look to jarg to go back and watch them. I did try but got to the scene when the space guild turn up and that boglin looking thing in a giant fish tank and decided that was enough for me.
Promise me you’ll let me come along for your first foray into the shadow realm in 2042. I’ll stroke your head and tell you everything’s going to be ok
