upcoming films

Or:
The Rock is a producer, and threw a load of money at Scorsese to direct?
Maybe... Although, Scorsese wouldn't look twice at a script if it was below his standards. 🤔

Can you kind fillum buffs recommend Five For The Firestick that have come out recently and worth a watch please.
Not recent, but based on my interactions with you, Chic's, this is what I'd recommend, mate:
1. The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants
2. The Sex and the City Movie
3. Eat, Pray, Love
4. The Notebook
5. He's Just Not That Into You

Enjoy lad! ;)

Which means one of two things:
-The Rock has grown enough has an actor for Marty to want to cast him in one of his films; or
-He believes he can direct an amazing performance out of The Rock, proving once again that it’s not the actors, but the director that makes a film great.

Either way, I trust Scorsese’s judgment.
Can imagine Scorsese losing it after take 15 of the first scene because the Rock keeps raising the people’s eyebrow.

Some have been out a while but you might have missed them;
Split - about a guy with multiple personalities
Don’t look up - movie about fake news and disinformation on social media.
Catfish - film about fake social media accounts being used to trick unsuspecting Geordies folk.
Blue Chips - film about a pugnacious Sports Writer
Record Man: The Life and Times of Sam Sniderman - documentary about the life and times of Sam The Record Man and his record store empire.

What a multiple of great movies. Fine times we live in.

On this paper this could be good but seeing someone playing The Beatles will always worry me as the potential for caricature is high. Also the fact they are making four films seems overkill but I guess it's not really any different to a miniseries.

I'm a fan of Mescal and Keoghan though and have liked the other two in the few things I've seen them in (apart from Quinn in Gladiator II). Would prefer it with scousers as the leads but they are clearly going for big names and unfortunately there aren't really any big name scouse actors that fit the profile.

Anyway long time til we found out as they won't release until 2028.

Can't wait to hear them Jarg accents.

The Beatles being portrayed by non-Scousers feels fitting - once they headed to America(which the movies are about), they distanced themselves from the city anyway.

No - they are the most chronically important exports the city has ever produced and the fact the lad built a drama school in the city to help them grow is a borderline comical statement that failed the audition when it came to making my a film about them.
