These are the kind of signing we need to be making more of, it is the subsequent sale of signings of this kind which has kept the club afloat in recent seasons.
Onana doesn't really fit into that category but Stones certainly did nd Branthwaite does.
Nkonkou, Vlasic, Lookman also spring to mind.

In the future it is clear that Kevin Thelwell sees this model as the way forward for Everton, buy good young players at affordable prices and turn them into premiership players to strenghten the team or bring in transfer fees.

Correct. You can't pick and choose when you build for the future. It's a continuous endeavor and can't be dictated by league position or short termism.
