It wasn't 3-4 years it was easily '83-'89. He was the best goalkeeper in the world during that period. If being the best in the world in your position isn't "world-class" then what is?
Crap kits for 2024/25 season why do we expect better for 2025/26.
Not having a commemorative kit for the last year/last moht/last game at Goodison is unforgivable.
It's definitely a bit of a blind spot for Moyes, he likes his strikers running channels and tracking back. He bought Andy Johnson and basically turned him into a winger. I think it's why he likes DCL too.
@JobForTheMoyes will be a long shortly...
This is an interesting question, tbf.
Moyes v1 had a right old time of it with strikers, with only The Yak really hitting decent numbers for us. Didn't have a great time at West Ham either. It could very well be that he backs himself to manage...
Only world class player we've had in that time, imo (obviously players like Gazza were world class in their pomp but were certainly not whilst with us).
The term 'world class' is bandied around far too readily these days, but as I just missed out on seeing Bally in a blue shirt, I'd say Big Nev is the only truly world class player I've seen at Everton. Lots of 'great' players, but in his prime...
The amount of hate he gets is insane. Been one of our most productive and best players for a couple of seasons now.
Should we be looking to upgrade? Absolutely along with the rest of the team.
But for now, he’s the very least of our worries.
