We do need a backup keeper. Our bench this season has had two keepers and 3 options for RB, and both those keepers have left, Young has gone, Coleman is out of contract and Paterson is there just to fill a seat in the dugout.
Has Moyes always been a bit reluctant to put young players in the side? It always felt to me that unless a young lad was completely exceptional that they would find it hard to get a run in the team under Moyes,
Then it’s completely pointless signing him. We already have a young striker getting very limited time and not scoring (but I’d wager would cost us more than Chermiti in wages and any fee) Would be a waste of a loan spot entirely like Broja was.
If he'd have shown any sort of form in his loan to West Han then I'd have said this was an option, but I'm not sure he even got a game for them. If he did then he certainly didn't produce anything. Better options out there for me.
I'd love to say we should be gunning for Europe but I'd be happy for a boring Brentford/Fulham style mid-table season where we're never in danger of relegation. This is what Everton has done to my ambitions!
He plays in probably the one position on the park that we actually have some depth in. Even putting aside his wages and form, I just can't see us signing another left sided forward player when we are so thin on the ground in so many other...
This would be totally unacceptable. We have been dicking about without a decent centre forward for years, a priority and absolutely no excuse for sorting it this summer.
Yeah we want young players but they still need to be able to do the business. In my view there’s been very little to warrant him being brought in as a first choice striker.
Broja was also overrated and came in and did pretty much what I...
Has he really been that bad? At least he’s getting into a position to finish 2, offside or not both decent finishes. Broja useless complete waste of money DCL the same Beto the best of a bad bunch but he’s scoring goals at premier league level...
