If you want to know which animal is a natural engineer, check out the badger. Multi roomed homes, plus they are known to divert wafer through their sets so essentially indoor plumbing. Also the apex predators of Britain. None of them rubbish...

Thanks to us all hunted to death (perhaps not the lions), one of the reasons beaver populations suffered was the out of control and destructive deer population that prevented beaver food growing with no predators to control the deer population...

It seems that they are quite enthusiastic at whatever they put their minds to :)

One of natures brilliant engineers, they raise the water table and increase biodiversity and resiliance and benefit all of us.
