It will be far better for him and for us that he did. There was little he could contribute this season, and he will get invaluable everyday experience to hone his craft. Much like Branthwaite.

similar formation id say in 13/14 martinez lined the side up in 4231 ——-McCarthy—-Barry Mirallas——Barkley——-Deulofeu —————Lukaku————— could swap out Deulofeu for Pienaar , Osman or even McGeady depending on what Martinez was going for...

Vaughan replied to the thread 2025/26 Beto.
at the end of the day with Beto, it's not really about how effective he is with bringing others into play, or his first touch, or his ability to stay onside. what really matters is that when he bangs one in it is really fun to chant Ole Ole Ole...

Not mentioning any names but i have read some amount of drivel over the last few pages. I think everyone would probably agree that if Beto scores 12 to 15 goals this season, he,ll have been good enough for Everton considering where we have been...

Vaughan replied to the thread 2025/26 Tyler Dibling.
i think it's ideal he doesn't have to come in and hit the ground running straight away if he can keep the 3 forwards behind the striker (what is the collective term for those players in a 4231?) all fit and in form. I think there'd be a lot of...

Neither team has Abdoulaye Doucoure so surely both are going to lose.

Vaughan replied to the thread 2025/26 Tyler Dibling.
i think Dubling has quite a languid style but that doesn't mean he's not got the intensity needed it's also hard to look 'busy' when you're effectively playing a training exercise masquerading a a football match. england dominated possession and...

Vaughan replied to the thread 2025/26 Nathan Patterson.
he looked really good under Lampard, and the side itself was a lot stornger than the previous year up until some point in November then Patterson got injured, and the team itself struggled, and Dyche absolutely did not fancy him think the lad...

to some extent yes but Barry, McCarthy, Barkley was a stronger midfield than we have now, with the likes of Osman and Gibson as very able deputies I don't think you cant count the lieks of Ndiaye and Dibling as midfielders in this day and age

no of course, i was kind of being tongue in cheek anyway just got a bit of a soft spot for Alcaraz. NDiaye aside he was vastly superior to any of our attacking options last year but barely got any starts because of the transfer clause it seems...
