Brighton dont have the same expectations and pressures to get a successful long term signing policy as we do. Brighton would have had uneven progression with that - if we did it it'd be scrapped almost immediately on the first season of failure.

Probably best for DCL to move on. I don't think the club will offer him what he's currently making and someone else almost certainly will. Between him, Keane, & Doucoure alone, we're going to free up quite a bit in wages for new players.
