Well spending money on new players and getting an ambitious manager did not suit us. How about spending f all and getting a manager who understand how to get a bottom half team into europe occasionally works. It's a start.

At least we've given up on managers who promise a bright future, we've found someone who knows what the relegation zone is like having been there several times and understands the pain when you fail. Shame his last experience was taking a famous old club who were PL established down

3 teams^ I was going to say Southampton, Forest and Bournemouth but then they all look stronger now. That last game at home to Bournemouth now looking like a decider

Apparently Moshiri though Dyche was a striker and that he'd brought two attacking midfielders with him, Stone and Woan

We are now officially a bottom half club in terms of ambition as well as actuality

    Dyche is the man

Even if he keeps us up, this is appointing a manager who specialises in avoiding relegation but sometimes (twice) fails Is that what we have become?

So how long till someone finds that his childhood heroes were Dalglish and Rush (he was a teenager when we played those three 80's cup finals)

Over his whole time at Burnley he average just under 1.1 points per game. If he manages his average that's 35 points.

    Dyche is the man

Yes, managed to get Burnley relegated last year (with Tarkowski) which probably kept us up so we owe him something. He's been relegated twice and near to relegation 3 times (5 times out of 7 he's had 40 points or less) so he certainly knows the territory.

    Who should replace Frank Lampard?

Dyche and Hassenhutl have win rates (over their overall spans at Burnley and Southampton) that are slightly higher than Benitez in his time here. Bettered by Silva, Koeman, Martinez, Ancelotti and Allardyce here (all of whom we wanted sacked). Bielsa's win rate in 21/22 was worse than Lampard's...

    Who should replace Frank Lampard?

I see we are looking at a whole swirl of managers who have left clubs in a downward spiral, excellent Bielsa, Nuno, Hassenwhatever, Dyche..........

    Who should replace Frank Lampard?

You mean the lad that's scored 6 goals in his last 40 league games and has managed less goals in the league than Maupay this season
