Feels all a bit Football Manager mode thinking to me. We already have a bare thin squad as it is and are going to spend most of the summer to reshape it. It's just not necessary to reshape it further in some areas for marginal gains or for huge...

Disagree here. Zouma in his prime, yes. But not now. Also, apart from being awful Lindelof wouldn’t be coming here to be 4th choice. Keane is absolutely fine as 4th choice CB and no doubt will also be taking a bit of wage cut too.

Got a cheek calling anyone a clown when you’ve just suggested spending the entirety of the transfer budget on a CB to sit on the bench, while we have no right winger, no fit right back and a desperately thin midfield. We all know Keane is crap...

Keane as a starter is abysmal but keane as a 4th choice cb is a decent option. We quite simply dont have the money to spend on trying to entice a new cb to come and sit on the bench, let alone have the money to bring in a starting cb. But needs...

How much money do you think we have to spend this summer if you think we can drop c.50m on Esteve?
  • ToffeeScot
A highly rated young player like Esteve isn't signing up to be fourth choice back up centre back. It's a catch-22, only players who would be willing to take that spot are either well past their prime or simply bad players. Keeping Keane imo is a...

Angus Gunn on a free apparently, back up GK
  • ToffeeScot
It's quite funny that you're mocking others and when pressed on who you'd sign instead of keeping Keane you've suggested a 50m rated LCB.
  • ToffeeScot
We’ve signed up our prized asset on a 5 year deal, we’re closing in on a highly rated young striker and Neal Maupay and Mason Holgate are no longer Everton players. I imagine GoT will be full of harmony and positivity for on…… Ah.

So he’s crapper than garner but will be more available and get more game time ? Niceeee !
  • ToffeeScot
Esteve is a left sided centre half, there couldn’t be a worse move for him than somewhere an elite young left sided centre half has just signed a 5 year deal. He would not entertain the move for one second.

They want 50 million for him and he's linked to Bayern and Milan. He isn't coming here to be 4th choice CB, or 3rd choice. There are already two CBs here his age that are established. We have way too many holes in the team to be spending 50...

No I understand the concept, I'm just saying I don't agree. I don't think anyone is reading that article and thinking Everton are doing anything wrong, and if they are then they're going to think that way about an awful lot of things. As I said...

Yeah, just looking at the facts - we tried to get Young, Doucoure and DCL to sign new contracts and are by all accounts only looking at free transfers to bring in at right back. The idea that we have a load of money available to sign someone in...
