The aim for the summer is to get better technical players in the side when we have the ball. Without the ball I think we are a decent side, good at pressing and defensive shape. On the ball though we are severely lacking at times.

No, or at least I hope not. There's a v good article that Mark Douglas did earlier in the season which was all about the work that had gone on in this regard. It didn't make it sound like Dyche's brand of Brexitball was being coached at any...

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure. The division of responsibilities is a little bit confusing to me. Hammond was/is supposed to specialise in recruitment in terms of negotiations etc. The bit I liked about Thelwell's role and, supposedly, something he...

Leeds don't have a DoF. Not the model we are going with either

….i have no idea what you’re talking about now. He was technically poor in those one-on-ones against Brentford. I always tell youngsters that goalkeepers are like Father Christmas, they invariably leave a little gift for a striker to exploit...

…..really? Very hit and miss. I think he’s missed plenty of one-on-ones (was it Brentford away he missed two or three?), certainly something he’d really improve his ratio if he was better at.

TBF, yeah, you could argue that he should know Beto couldn't trap a bag of cement and maybe that sort of pass is ill-advised

I'd need to watch it back again, but the fact that Jackson picks up the ball behind our midfield isn't on the midfield really, it's the blink of an eye when that happens. I largely agree on the wider point re the midfield but if I'm apportioning...

I am in complete disagreement with you re the defending for that - the team split into a "possession shape". CBs split and midfielders drop into positions to receive the ball - essentially it's all based on the trust that when you give the ball...

He's never been prolific making me wonder if this is just a hot spell. His value is as high as it's ever been right now. If we are going to sell, now is the time to do it.

The way I look at it - he's big, strong, quick, aggressive and tries his best. There's a lot to be said for that, but as an actual footballer he's up there with the worst I've seen here. He *can* score goals, but it's like playing with 10 men...

When we signed him out the blue, I googled him. Found an article on here from Oct 23; https://www.grandoldteam.com/2023/10/13/report-everton-wanted-to-sign-midfielder-carlos-alcaraz-he-has-now-been-called-up-to-argentina-squad/ Thelwell wanted...

He's far more effective as a number 10 than out wide and he's also much better when we play on the break rather than having lots of possession. His energy and powerful running with the ball is a huge asset in transition. I like him, but I think...
