It would be nice to give him a run when we have a game that we are in front and relatively comfortable in so he gets a bit of experience so that we have a player to come in at LB should our 1st choice get pick up an injury.
Another way to look at it is that we were desperate enough that Patto got to start the game the other night and Aznou still sat on the bench for the night getting no minutes.
You could see him faking an injury to get back to Finch farm, only to be checked over by our medical department and end up with a hernia, a torn hamstring and a slight angle problem that keeps him out of the team for the rest of his current contract.
That was a great win last night with two really well worked goals. I thought we looked really solid with O`Brien in his natural central position and Dibling played well too, but Garner had a super game and was my man of the match. Hope for more of the same next week with three home games in a row.
Maybe if he`d not just been sat on the bench since he signed he might be more settled in and producing more. Moyes knew Ilman was going off in December for the African Cup but waited until he left before trying some other options on the right. Great planning by Moyes.
I`d say you`re spot on with the formation, as its the exact same way we`ve set up for every game this season. The only thing that changes are a few of the faces in the front 3, and that wouldn`t change if KDH and Ilman were available, the the only thought would be which of our two rubbish CF...
Back in 2009 we only beat Macclesfield 1-0 away, surviving a very late good shot to avoid a replay, and went all the way to the final. 1984 first round of the ECWC was only won by the width of the post against UCD in a 1-0 win at Goodison and we went all the way that year..
