Van Wilder was the key in the end, great finish though

Did anybody realise that Van Wilder was still in that gap between the leaders and Pog/Jonas? TV coverage didn't seem to realise. Seemed to appear from nowhere. He's owed a drink or two.

Mildly embarrassing celebrating third place as a win. Been a while since that's happened. Oh dear haha.

And so, so boring. Won 4 tours and the most exciting thing he did was running up a hill without his bike. I gave up watching the sport then. If Pog's juiced to the eyeballs at least he's still trying and failing to win Sanremo and Roubaix.

That's the cool thing about the sport, isn't it? I went to a Giro stage start in Gardena last year and it's all so accessible. Plus, of course, you can ride all of these amazing climbs and literally follow in the pedal strokes of the greatest...

The GC as a competition is virtually dead now.... But this race is something special. I was at the start in Auch this morning, and it was such a wonderful, joyous spectacle. Town centre jam packed at 9am, 4 hours before the start, a wonderful...
