Valentin Atangana would be a VERY astute signing. I hope whoever got Tete right has this one correct as well. Could probably get him for £10mil ish as Reims have been relegated. Very high potential.

I think we’re clearly in the market for a new Gana either way, it probably becomes more pressing if the existing one actually leaves. There are a couple of interesting free agents we are probably having a look at. One who Fulham were interested...

So are we taking “in talks with” as meaning “going to” now? And do we apply this theory to players that are in talks with us too, you know for fairness?

We’ve got a player in his prime for free, that significantly improves a weak position within the team. Great business.

Might not be mate just that’s the way it came across. He looks very similar to Gana stylistically but maybe the plan is to hopefully hold onto Gana for another year so funds can be spent elsewhere. Trying to guess how much we can spend this...

Atangana has had the cliche "new Kante" said about him. Far too easy to be branded that these days imo.

It appears Everton have to have numerous players in the side whose name either is or is very close to being 'Gana'. Garner, Gana, Mangala, Atangana.

Not seen anything confirmed with either of them.
