KDH needs to be the barometer moving forward. Exactly the kind of signings that slowly bring the levels up. Unfortunately it’s the exception rather than the norm.

I haven’t seen that with Dibbling - he has had one purple patch at soton early on and faded. From what I’ve seen from him at England u21 and limited game time here he seems quite one paced and lacking a bit of physicality. Obviously young and might come on but I wouldn’t have spent that much...

I feel it’s a formality he will bring Armstrong back as another midfield option with KDH and gueye out - obviously short of numbers but also don’t feel Moyes trusts Alcaraz/ Rohl..even Iregbounam enough.

Each game will be a massive grind. Won’t be pleasant viewing but hopefully we get the right side of most of em. 7 points I reckon.

I think this is spot on. He looked rusty as hell and touch was off - but he looks like his physicality is there for the prem and can be moulded into a decent option. This is where I struggle with seeing Dibbling, just looks likes he is miles off what’s needed physically.

Toothless without our two main attacking threat. Did we even have a shot? Didn’t expect much more. We can’t afford to carry squad members like dibbling / Aznou etc - both look more and more like pointless waste of money.

Having watched him a fair few times for Wales always think Johnson flatters to deceive, and surely he would just stifle dibbling’s development. Two full backs in January please. Although hearing VFTB saying that Emerson royal is being touted around, not sure if that’s what we need either.

Rohl back in training at least so i imagine will be a ‘body’ on the bench on Saturday. Big miss KDH - always liable to pull something imo after playing in the summer and not having rest or a proper pre season. Hopefully we come out of the period relatively unscathed - lots of teams will have...

League is so tight - feels like anyone can batter anyone on any given day.

I know he’s probably on ridiculous money but Xhaka could have transformed us for a few seasons.

He’s going to have to work some miracles if KDH and Grealish are out with hamstrings…alongside Ndiaye and Gueye! A Garner yellow from barely being able to put out a side.

Be criminal if Norris gets a penalty there.

Would love Ampadu here next season . He’s a class act in defensive midfield.

Moyes excels in these ‘backs against the wall/threadbare squad/square pegs in round holes’ situations. Great win.
