I had the misfortune of reading bits of this today in a supermarket. 'Freemasonry, Sectarianism, and Thuggery' should have been the title of that book. I had to wash my hands after I'd throw it in the veg section.

I do feel differently about it. It's slightly more for nostalgic reasons now, but I grew up with some of the worst players I've ever seen in an Everton shirt, so I needed something to cling to. Cahill showed the same desire etc a few years later...

No mate improved drastically when Joe Doyle took over, him and Kanchelskis were a revelation that year, especially Kanchelskis, that was Limpars best time with us.

Why would we spend money on players to be squad players instead of on players to improve the first team and then making those the squad players? This idea that we have to bring in a 4th choice centre back is nonsense to me, we should be looking...

Exactly, which we don’t have, hence the sight of Harrison et al botching 4 on 2 vs City. So our tactical options are limited to playing our way slowly up the pitch (difficult as our players aren’t very good in the ball) or playing direct long...

Where did they finish? Probably behind teams that had some mobility in the middle. Look at the team that’s just won the CL, and how they punished teams by having absolutely flyers in every position who could press high and track back. The top...

Need a fair few players as priority already I know, but I would like an improvement on James Garner. Garner is fine and has some quality in him but I think to go to the next level he needs to be a bench option as he's a bit too Tom Davies if we...

Big heart and big character. A good blue. Doucoure will always be welcome at Everton.

Good luck Doucs. Always gave 100% and had a real affection for the club. Scored one of the most important goals in the clubs history and will always be viewed fondly for that.

No and we didn’t offer him one either. Just like we haven’t offered Doucoure one. Doucoure was given that contract in 2020, if the club felt his salary wasn’t worth the return he’d have been flogged before now, but they chose to keep him and all...

We paid 20m for him, got many years of service, a few very important goals and he always seemed to give his all. Good luck to the fella.

Doucoure is gone! And it’s clear that he had a emotional attachment to the club, we don't know what Everton offered but let's take the money out of the equation and thank him for his service.
