Forest. Potential points deduction to come and losing that game just days after tonight could completely take the wind out of Luton.

    2023/24 Ben Godfrey

He's come in, done a job, reminded us he's a useful squad member. But it really is ridiculous to have him playing right back with Coleman, Patterson and Young all on the bench. Does nothing for the balance of the team.

I turn 30 this year. It's been this way for as long as I can remember. I know it's easier said than done, but we never get ourselves into a position where we can hold onto young talent and progress.

    2023/24 Jack Harrison

The verdict from Leeds fans seemed to be that he'd be unplayable for a few games and then go missing for a few more. That hip injury must have taken the edge off him because I can barely recall a single game this season where he performed better than okay. Maybe the Villa & Bournemouth games...

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

It was an average performance in what was quite a scrappy game with a load of stoppages. The most glaring thing for me is that we're missing quality in the final third, but those players cost the kind of money we clearly don't have at the moment. No lover of the manager, but not sure what he...

    2023/24 Beto

The way DCL has been playing recently, it shouldn't even be that difficult for Beto to get in ahead of him. And yet. Part of me thinks DCL should sit out a couple of games, but I'm not convinced Beto is going to make us any better yet. Seems really raw.

    2023/24 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I'd much rather win than debate whether the centre forward is good or bad though ha

I know he should score, but I don't think it's fair not to mention that Emi Martinez is generally really good in those situations and has proved it at the very highest stage. Would have to see it back, but I was more annoyed that he didn't seek out Doucoure who was running alongside him.

Neither of them have the best technique, so neither of them can link amazingly well with those around them. They have different strengths, but a few of the same weaknesses so I don't think they'll ever be a great partnership. Would love to be wrong though.

    2023/24 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Yeah, I'm not sure how I'd feel if it went against us tbh, maybe annoyed at the ref but more so at the full back for being so weak. The reason the decision irked me so much today was that from the start of last season, refs were supposed to be more lenient to allow the game to flow. But that's...

There's contact from Gomes but very soft and arguably not 'clear and obvious'. Not to mention, the ref and linesman are both in good positions from opposite angles to spot anything untoward.

    Penalties

Your point still stands, but did Tim Howard not save one against Villa? Benteke I think.

A couple of things I seen this week that I liked

Not to play down anything else, but it's really nice to just have a team of grafters after so many years of players on inflated salaries who you could tell didn't care all that much.

    2023/24 Vitalii Mykolenko

He's been great, but what I love is the simplicity to his game. So many times in the second half today, we tried to overdo it, going direct too quickly or trying to play the killer ball when an easier one was on. But Mykolenko is just taking care of the ball at the moment. Nothing fancy but very...

    2023/24 Dwight McNeil

Not enough players do this these days (look at Rashford at United currently). When you're out of form, just work your nuts off until the ball starts bouncing your way again. Three wins in a week, and he's been involved in the first goal of all three. Made up for him.
