To reassure, this isn't an Everton thing, both the yellow wall at Dortmund and our single tier stand have a super-riser at the point the gradient changes. It's a pretty standard solution in this kind of design. As others have said, you won't notice it when the stand is full.

fwiw, we had an U18s match at half-capacity, then a Legends match at three-quarters capacity. Then it opened. No test events for other uses, and no test events at full capacity either.
