Played pretty well in the last few games of last season to be fair. I think it’s a smart move as he’s a good pro, decent cover and a genuine set piece threat (or threat from 30 yards after that spurs goal)

I think he proved in the second half of the season he can be the focal point for the team and score goals. He's also durable and available.
I think he gives us enough to be able to focus on a higher risk signing who may need time to develop but...
