    Gareth Barry was phenomenal and vital to that Everton first 11. I honestly don’t watch West Ham at all and couldn’t pick out Soucek in a police line up. So I have no opinion.

    A Gareth Barry is exactly what we need in my opinion. Perfect down to the last detail. Great age to bring experience into the squad, prem experience to keep Moyse happy, proper solid DM who can look after the young lads and more fragile flair...

    He’s not awful in attack to be honest. And he’s scary fast once he gets up to speed. I’d prefer a Baines/Pienaar option for both wings but I have no real issue with JOB at RB if an option like Juanlu Sanchez isn’t available.

    Exactly He just deals with anything they throw at him and not in a Psycho Pat kinda way , but just as brutally efficient. Tough as old boots and can play a fair bit too. Like this lad a lot.
