Just spotted the news on FB, so sorry mate, genuinely gutted for you. I saw something a few weeks back regarding off field stuff but had no idea it would come to this. Isn't there even another local non league team they could groundshare with?

Hopefully if the club starts back up again they learn some valuable lessons from all of this, namely not to ever get involved with that scum bag council when they offer their “help”. They did exactly the same with Widnes Vikings over the stadium...

Is there absolutely no chance they could have done a groundshare mate? Is there something I've missed here?

Truth is I have no idea mate, the club have been very poor at communicating over this whole period. They’ve never mentioned anything about alternative groundshares so none of us know if it was even discussed, but it would seem bizarre and mental...

What about Runcorns " new ground " out by Daresbury ? It`s not the biggest, but it`d very new and surely it would satisfy all of the requirements ?

It potentially would be the best option, the only thing with it is how busy it is- I get the feeling its in use an awful lot of the time.

Linnets are already sharing with Northwich Vics I think, so that one was never a starter. I think Halton was out of the question, but surely the question would’ve been worth asking to Cables, or one of the Warrington clubs. No idea if it was...

My first thought was that that ground wouldn’t meet the requirements for Step 3. But then I guess we’ll never know.

As much as I’m not wetting the bed just yet I do think we have to fly out of the traps in the next few weeks. A couple of weeks of inaction would be mental considering the task at hand… that being said I’m hoping Thierno Barry is pretty much done...
