While it has, not all injuries are equal
Different sport, mind, but pitchers in baseball treat getting a significant elbow injury requiring a surgery called Tommy John and 15 months of rehab as, in some cases, a good thing where the guy can come...
….we signed Delph with a history of dodgy hamstrings and he spent most of his time here unavailable.
I’ve posted before that it should be part of our transfer strategy to not sign players who’ve had serious quad or hamstring injuries.
Now looks like one of those players who has kept himself in such good shape that you wouldnt even mention his age because his legs are still going as strong in the 90th minute as any in their 20s. Bit like luka modric in that sense.
Must admit...
We could be in a position where our only strikers are Beto and Chermiti. If Moyes wants to give Chermiti a loan we have one striker. We may need two or three additions in that position. Someone like a Mitrovic e.g experienced and available may...
I'll advocate any signing me.
Mitrovic? Yes
Doak? Yes
Habib Diarra? Yes
Julio Gomez? Yes
Except Ross Barkley. I'll lose my composure if we brought him back.
Whatever signing we make will carry risk.
Ndiaye was underwhelming on paper and now he’s probably our best player.
If we bought Cahill now people would be asking why he hasn’t played at a higher level yet, Jagielka was a rubbish defensive...
I’d more worry that if they’re true then Branthwaite is leaving.
Stones wouldn’t join us to sit on the bench, he’s absolutely top class, he’d want guaranteed first team football prior to the World Cup.
We should be building a team around Branthwaite, for once build a team to challenge and be ambitious. Not strip our assets and strengthen rivals.
Don't see us selling him he's integral. We need to show strength ourselves. It's silly season.
I'm a news anchor. Spinning things is what do.
Put it this way, I'd rather have Beto and Chermiti, than Anthony Gordon is my squad.
Stay Classy, Jazzy!
If somebody bids £120 million and we want to cash in I don't really care who it is, as long as it's not the rs. Personally think we need to keep him for another season and review the situation then
If he’d signed a 3 year deal and went down hill we’d all be moaning about it. This new approach is refreshing to me. It has nothing to do with a lack of money, it’s called being cautious and not wasting money, something a lot of us have been...
All this depends on how well we progress in the league. If we recruit well and start to challenge for Europe, players will want to stay at the club rather than look elsewhere. This will always be the way.
Started this after trawling through seemingly hundreds of film choices. I'm just not digging movies and TV as much as I used to. Maybe I've mentioned it before but time is precious to me these days and I can't be arsed wasting it on current...
