    2025/26 David Moyes

Burnley have a Championship squad. I think we're aiming for higher?

Who is the club in this instance? No one in their right minds, in his position, would commit to the club under the prior ownership.

I just think his movement in the box would suit the slower pace we play with when they're on the pitch. We desperately need two fullbacks, it's not the panacea but it opens up the attacking side so much more. I don't see us buying a striker in January. I just don't think you'll get any value...

I feel differently about the last part. When we play the way we do with Grealish and KDH, I think that suits him very well. That doesn't mean I expected him to stay, I truly don't believe there was a path forward there and frankly if Everton paid him what he wanted, it would have been panned...

The Athletic - Valuation of Everton Football Club

Your house is not a business asset, I would assume.

The Athletic - Valuation of Everton Football Club

How is the stadium worth 750 million pounds? What is its value? If we put it on the market today, would we receive that? If we took it apart for scrap and sold it, would we receive that? The answer to both is no. If it's value was truly 750 million pounds, Moshiri wouldn't have needed to go...

Book value of assets has nothing to do with the valuation. This is an enterprise valuation so its based on market value of equity + debt (market value of assets) - cash. There are several ways to estimate the market value of the assets, but most are based on future cash flow projections.

    NFL 2025 Season

He's probably the best receiver on the active roster, which obviously isn't saying much. Going into a 2nd season without a competent 2nd receiver should get someone fired. There's a reason all of these losers and has beens were available.

    Snow

I little of topic, but I hate snow and will be going to 3 different places in the next 30 days where the probability of snow is high.

I do agree with this, but it's too easy to say "he missed a bunch of chances" or "he didn't care for four years."

His chances weren't like that one, one touch finishes in the box. That's what he's good at, that's what he was good at under Ancelotti, and that's what he never had under Dyche. Yes, his health will obviously give him confidence, but Leeds are playing to his strengths.

I'm getting the impression that the football we were playing was absolutely devoid of any sort of attacking.

It's not puzzling, just as you state...it is inherently worth less than it cost, if you were to sell it. It's value comes from the cash flow it generates (which is the value of any asset of a going concern). That's still a bit of a question, as it states in the article.

    2025/26 Charly Alcaraz

Well that's the rub, yes. Do we want him making good decisions on 3v3 counter attacks, or trying hopeless over the head kicks from 16 yards out? I'm not asking him to do things he's not capable of, he's shown these traits before.

    2025/26 Charly Alcaraz

Where he is meant to excel, on the counter, he has consistently made the wrong decision this season. Yes, small sample size for him, but it will continue to be a small sample size until he starts to make better decisions. Yes, obviously none of the front four played well today, but regardless...
