I think that us not being sentimental is the very reason to buy him. His ability for 12.5m, when we need players in the squad, seems an easy decision. Sentimental is wanting to retain Lindstrom.

We can sign him and sign better as well. We need a squad, and he's proven he's a quality starter. If it doesn't work out, we will make profit.

If we cant find a better CB than Keane available, then the whole scouting department might as well be dismantled.

Absolutely, as long as england doesokay in europe 8th place will go, and any season an English team with europa would be 9(maybe even other qualifiers). It seems it will be the odd season now to only see 7 in europe.

If we offered Doucoure a contract and not him... Been one of the few reliable ones over the years, will really miss him. If he goes I think he may end up being the biggest hole to fill, and the season will hinge on his replacement.
