As far as I understand our only constraints from a cash flow perspective is how much money the new owners are willing to invest I.e. the owners can spend as much cash as they want. But balancing the books from a PSR perspective is a different matter.

Id be very surprised if we don't see deals like this happen between the 2 clubs goin forward. Psr shenanigans to benefit both.

Could Roma loan us all their good players for the first league match in the new ground, and then we can cancel the loans the day after? Food for thought

Anyone reading literally anything into weird multi-club shenanigans at first glance needs to go to bed. There will probably be loads of odd deals and such in the future that won't make sense until maybe even a year after. I am unbelievably not...

But we lose £30 million of our summer budget which is tight and needs to be spread on about 8 players. Would be crazy.

Even if it’s true, (which it won’t be) it’d likely be financially jiggery pokery. Buy the lad for £30 million, 5 year contract meaning £6 million a year on our PSR. Roma pay us a loan fee of £6 million and his wages, no impact on Everton.

If moyes and anyone at the clubs lets this happen is a disgrace, dont mind deals between the clubs loaning players/buying from eachother. But pathetic to be buying a player just to play for the other team. Trying not to get angry as hope it is...

I know I don't go with that theory myself either. They have stabilised Roma but the real ££s despite PSR restrictions are still in the Prem.

They’d effectively be using group money to sell Everton’s women’s club and Goodison to themselves? Argument could be made that they’d look to use that to benefit both clubs? Not that we’d like it. Would be our asset I suppose

This would have been so far off the radar regarding anyone guessing this as a strategy, or indeed the players involved, that it could be a goer and actually work not only in theory. This is totally leftfield, as much as it would seem implausible...

IF this deal went through (it won’t) then a more logical reading of the situation is that they’re using Roma as our development club.
