Overall the new rules haven't been the catalyst i thought they'd be, laid bare today in a boring, often cynical final, they can be manipulated as much as the old rules.

for all the general malaise and anger over transfers I think if the club wanted grealish then that would understandably be one that happened late in the window .
I think our preference would be a natural right winger. But I guess that if we could get a left winger who we think is top level/games changer, we get him in and adjust from there.
Funny mate i was thinking about Grealish earlier and since the Fofana link, its clear to me now we're after a left winger, i just assumed it would be Illy and McNeill on that side - but doubt it now and we have an alternative for Illy.

The other weird thing about it is that Bobble said again the other day that we are still really keen on Grealish, and he's still interested in moving to us. But it could only be a loan and that would likely materialise at the end of the window...
