We improved as a team the season after selling all of these. They are not great examples if I’m being honest.

This is all nonsense. Very impressive I must say.

They don’t do it routinely, and it’s their opportunity to upgrade if they choose. We sell players we don’t want to lose, and only a fraction of it goes on an inferior replacement.

I remember everyone banging on about how important Iwobi was, we sold him and have been a better team without him since then.

Makes perfect sense to sell players at the right time to get a decent return and invest that money on young talent. This is the model we should have been doing years ago.
