Dave Whelan on sky just said 2 other clubs are interested along with Villa. With one of the clubs mad keen to sign him but need to sort out finances of 10 million which is never easy. Sounds like us...

Plus the way we play, Ba would suit us more then Long. I do like Long and wouldn't be unhappy if we signed him but Cahill behind Ba would work well I think.

I'd be well happy if he did sign. With our budget we aren't gonna get much better then Ba. But after reading the sky snippet it would seem Pardew/journo is confident he's heading up there.
