I’m not as worried by not signing a striker. We’ve got Beto and Barry. If they both went out with injury, you put Dibling on RW and slide Ndiaye or KDH into the striker slot. They’re all capable of playing up front.
From what I’ve seen, Sam’s got a Baines vibe about him. Sam is a heads up defender always looking to score. When not making films, Sam can be found on the pitch practicing fade away curls into the top corner of the net. A solid signing.
I honestly haven't seen enough of him to comment but, based on his stats, he seems to be able to play anywhere in the centre of the park and can fill in in a couple of other positions too. So, on that basis it seems a very sensible signing.
