Tonight was a bit refreshing seeing a bit of the youth movement. We need a better balance. Lately we’ve been top heavy with the older players. Time to start feathering in some younger players.
Few players going 90 minutes, unusual in the first game. (Keane, Iroegbunam, Tyrer, Patterson, McNeil)
Moyes was obviously moving Armstrong around - he was left midfield, 10 and then defensive midfield in the second half. Had a decent game...
I’d say run the young lads out some more in these friendlies. See how they do against progressively more challenging opponents. Maybe there’s an Armstrong or two in the making.
Good runout overall, decent for a first friendly against a team that's a bit fitter by all accounts.
Love the "I don't hate him" energy some of you bring for Patterson - he has a good overall piece of play, good movement, decent overlap, shoots...
Hopefully we have more incomes for the next friendly...the lack of attacking quality available from the first team is frightening...beto looks already match fit. Great work ethic despite having poor service.
Heath, Clarke nice positives today in bad weather conditions. It played out as expected. Moyes tried out some of the young lads. Gave him a good look. Today was all about slowly ramping up to match day in a couple of weeks without sustaining...
As I get older, I like to think I get wiser. As part of that process, I have learned not to expect footballers to be paragons of moral virtue. I don't care who Garner associates himself with. But if he fails to close down another shot from the...
Don't bear any malice towards the lad but he had to move on for two reasons firstly he just wasn't good enough for us if we want a future in the top 6 and secondly he needs to move on for himself to play somewhere else and try and resurrect what...
Utter nonense. It’s not a large section of our support making bigoted comments though is it. It also Seems you dont know what the word bigotry means either. Dont be so quick to make such accusations about a large section of our support mate...
Probably my favourite Hitchcock. I love films that are primarily set in one place and live or die solely off the strength of the script. Jimmy Stewart is brilliant as always
No established team is getting relegated for a long time. The promoted teams aren't getting past 25 points anymore.
This obsession with Everton playing in the Championship is getting boring.
It shows where we were financially as a club. He was our top striker and we had no depth. The top clubs have multiple forwards capable of popping off 10+ goals a season. We had to put all our hopes in Dom. And when he got hurt, the entire ship sank.
