Was expecting a lot better from Dawson considering how he’s spoken about. He was really poor. Not just in his bowling and not finding any sort of length but in the field as well. Think I’d look to have an extra seam bowler now and use root...

I thought he was really poor. A far cry from some of his county performances. He just consistently failed to find a good line. He really should've been much more of a threat out of the rough.

I still have pretty big concerns about the England bowling. On flatter pitches they lack discipline and look pretty toothless. The bowling after lunch today when the game was in the balance, was very mediocre. I wouldn't play a spinner next week...
