Its a bit of a joke when players do this. They sign a deal for 4 or 5 years and think whenever they want to walk out of it they just have to down tools to get their way. I could put up with this behavior if it was alright to do it the other way... -

No idea mate, was consistently told up to today he wanted to be a no 1 and was actively seeking a move for this, then got the heads up this morning that he's decided to come and that his medical tomorrow - dont know anything else at this point. ;)

It's not necessarily the tactics that are the reason they are getting criticism. I believe the issue is selection and that there are some players who appear to be un-droppable regardless of performance. That doesn't help get the best out of the...

Root got out and the rest just collapsed - no fight at all. Awful batting and also unfair on Root that they are so reliant on the one player to save them any time the bowling is good.
