He might be forced to play there occasionally but he’s looking like a decent midfielder.

I’d like to think not, just for Garner’s sake of wanting to be a midfielder, but if he was good there it gets more quality on the pitch.

I actually think he looked really good in midfield against Wolves, was very mature and composed. Hopefully he can keep it up as consistency has always been an issue for him unfortunately.

Well that's not true is it. When Lampard first arrived Patterson was fit and on the bench for quite a few games. He made his debut in the FA cup game against Boreham Wood and got subbed off at HT. Your numbers are out.

Correct. In Lampard’s first season (or half season given he took over end of January) he had Patterson as an unused substitute 7 times. Only giving him one appearance v Boreham Wood and he hauled him off at half time.

Your stats are wrong. He sat on the bench when Lampard arrived for a good few games before making his debut against Boreham Wood. Think he spent a bit of time playing with the under 21's.
