We need to change the perception that we are a club that lose out on players to Forest, Bournemouth, even Southampton in recent times.
That does mean spending money rather than pointing to trophies from 40 years ago.
I think we simply cant afford or attract the quality of players moyes/club want, and are scared of spending what money we have on unproven players.

Everton have shown they are capable of signing terrible players on any given day of a transfer window. It would be nice though, if we had a competitive squad on day 1 of the season for a change.
