If we’ve improved the squad then presumably you would expect it to finish higher than it did last season, without any further additions. Which it clearly wouldn’t. Hope that helps your confusion.

I think it’s debatable to be fair. I wouldn’t really class Alcaraz as improving the squad personally because he was already here. He also wasn’t actually our starter in that role and while some of us might be happy to see the back of doucoure...

The USA tour would be a good opportunity to sign the promising Orlando FC right back Alex Freeman. He won’t be expensive as he is just 20. He is 6’2” which helps our overall squad profile, decent speed and pretty composed for a young player...
