Gueye head and shoulders above most others so far. In an ideal PL squad Garner and McNeil would be decent to come on off the bench. Again, what a difference a couple of decent full backs would make to the team.

Yeah I don’t think I’ve ever got to deadline day with a weak squad and thought ‘this is great news, all our top targets must be coming in’.

I also don’t understand this narrative that top targets are more likely to become available later in the window. When has this ever been the case? The closer we get to the deadline the much greater the chances of Lindstrom or Harrison rocking...

The truth is we don’t really know what is going on behind the scenes. It could be all on track for our first choice signings, or it could be chaos, disharmony and a list of rejections. I don’t really understand people who are 100% confident it’s...
