This. I've always loved hill walking/hiking of any kind but always with mates Since the age of approx 40, I find real solice in walking alone. I still do a bit with mates and enjoy it but feel totally comfortable on my own these days.

The realisation that you are blessed compared to what other people have to endure in the world around you. A warm house, full belly and the promise of a peaceful day is an idea of heaven for our less fortunate brothers and sisters.
