Id be happy enough with both of these on frees if it enabled us to spend money on players in other positions. Be solid business.

Walker for a season would make sense.

About 50/50 on this one. Would prefer a long term view to replace Coleman but it could work out this way. I guess the right back position might be seen as a stop gap for now and the concentration for long term vision is on more...

What’s crazy is people saying he’s lost his pace. Sure he isn’t what he was, but he’s still 100% quicker than anything in our side.

Unlike Walker, Gibson, Cleverly, Delph and even Young were not key players in the success of their clubs, on that list only Rooney was and I thought he did well on his return. Lampard didn’t play for us.

If we signed the 1st one we wouldn’t have needed the 2nd one. Signing Keane set us back years. Comparing him to a serial winner like Walker is quite funny, yes.

So it looks like what is probably the case is that the team have looked at the statistics. Our defence was pretty much champions league standard statistically last season, so will be patched up with frees and loans for this coming season. Money...
