I don't think Gbamin had a medical issue did he? He got injured after a couple of games here and then effectively had a separate injury as he was about to come back. I don't think it was something that would ever have been flagged in a medical as...

Thanks for confirming that we are all indeed, sad, miserable bastards.

They do know their audience, and 'we' aren't it. The announcements - fairly obviously - aren't designed for people who spend hours on a forum every day talking about transfers and rumours and follow loads of related accounts to keep abreast of...

Some of the commentary in this thread regarding the status of Southampton and Everton football clubs is embarrassing. What's worse is that some of the posters denigrating Southampton are the very same people who were outraged by Man Utd's fans...

Also the headline fee isn't always the key to it, a guaranteed £20m up front may be much more appealing in some cases than a potential £30m spread over a long period and subject to different clauses.

A focus on players with PL experience is a bit weird at this point, it's not like we're lacking in that department so I don't really see why it should be something we're particularly keen to ensure players have, other than us just not being any...

10 goals and 6 assists in the Championship compared to Fatawu who had 6 goals and 13 assists. Not too different. I think Fatawu is more exciting to watch though which could be where the bias comes into play in terms of who people would rather sign.

I'm evidently in the minority but I quite like Hutchinson. He's only 21, and his end product in the Championship was pretty good so I feel like some people are being a bit harsh in that respect. Hard to say what value would be in this market but...

What's the point of a young back up FB if you don't play him when the LB is injured

It depends how you've come to the valuation doesn't it. If you've put it on for 3 times its value because thats what the estate agent told you to do then sacking them would be understandable, they're the professionals who are supposed to know...

Can’t see mcatee AND another winger coming in. I think that would be overkill for those positions behind the striker for now. I’d rather another striker come in if we were getting 2 attacking players, someone who offers something a bit different...

Our own fans determination for us to not have any depth whatsoever in the squad never ceases to amaze me.

At his best, that very much is Grealish's game. We know he can play the more patient, keeping it ticking role, but that has been pretty much universally decried as 'ruining' him over recent years, as his natural game is undoubtedly based around...

Personally I'm not sure Grealish, Dibling, and Ndiaye behind the striker would work all that well. They're all a little samey in that first and foremost they want to get on the ball and dribble with it, none of them really look to get in behind...

I'd be lying if i said i didn't have some doubts about how effective he'll be, but if nothing else he'll be fun to watch and i'll take that after the last few years.
