For a low fee he'd be a decent player to pick up and add a bit more quality to the side for a couple of years. It would have to be a very low fee though, otherwise it just doesn't feel worthwhile.

And I didn’t say you did say it was impressive did I? As I said, I think just expecting people to blindly ‘trust the process’ is a bit mad after all the times the processes haven’t worked. Nobody really thinks we’re going to go all summer...

It’s right that we doubt the process. If we’re not doubting processes after everything that’s happened over the past 30 years then we deserve everything we get. It’s certainly not at the panic stage yet but there’s no point denying most of us...

It’s nothing to do with disagreeing. It’s to do with ignoring what’s actually written. You’ve responded to a post where I literally said Harrison ‘isn’t very good’ and signing him would be ‘disappointing even as a squad player’ as if I said he...

People have been called bedwetters for years for daring to suggest our transfer windows have been less than stellar.

It's based on more than recent history, though. It's also based on current finances and, looking ahead, potential for growth. There are at least 7 teams, possibly 8, who are way ahead of us on both these measures and other teams whose current...

Don’t know who you were hoping we signed from hearts but I doubt it was Robertson seeing as he never played for them.

I think Bowen was a special talent before he got to West Ham and The Yak was a noted goalscorer before he came to Everton.

I don't think there's a blind bit of difference with how deals are done. What has changed is every single minute detail is reported, en masse, through social media by what is largely an army of chancers and BS'ers, and a very small minority who...

Overreactions are our speciality. We don’t have time to waste this summer on searching for a 4th choice CB. It will take more than one transfer window to jettison all those we want to see rhe back of. In a year or two it will hopefully be Tarky...

Dude, that is an insane take. Coleman was an absolute gun fullback in the premier league for a long time. The fact that we bought him for £60k is just a bonus. He was one of the best right backs in the league year in year out for a long time. He...

Id liken it a bit to like a a Mark Pembridhe type, who did a job for a low fee playing left side of midfield. Harrison is woeful going forward, but is very positionally disciplined. I can see why coaches would like him.

My thinking is along these lines really. 1) They won't be paying him a lot, and there's no fee. It will be hard to find someone so cheap. 2) Our resources should be spent on first team players. 3) Our season will be dictated by how good our...

Lanolin replied to the thread 2024/25 Michael Vincent Keane.
If Keane being our 4th choice centre half is the biggest issue we have in the squad at the end of this window i'll be very happy. If it isn't, then him signing a one year extension won't have been anywhere near the biggest failing of the summer...
