My guess would be they're looking to 'make' money in the loan market. They can effectively loan some players out for 3/4/5 years and still have them tied down to a lenghty contract. It needs to stop though, this stockpiling of players.

The live music industry has eaten itself with the extortionate ticket prices now. Used to go to at least one gig every week. Now it's a once every now and then.
