It's two brothers..being footballers doesn't matter in the slightest. It's devastating and as father of two sons myself, I can't even imagine what their families are feeling. Rest easy lads.

I honestly think social media has destroyed a huge percentage of people's morals. Its the equivalent of somebody losing an arm in an accident and somebody saying "why are you sad? There's people who don't have arms". I don't know why the reaction...

Mate, it’s not about you. Christ’s sake he was a red and we’re all devvoed about it. This does not have to be a crusade. Yes other people die, and yes they also get mourned. In this city we stand by those touched by tragedy but I don’t suppose...

Turkey has illegally occupied Cyprus for decades and they've massacred Kurds and imprisoned journalists, yet there doesn't seem to be much outrage about that. People still go on holiday to Turkey and feel no guilt. Why is it Palestine your...

I'm one of the biggest critics of celebrity culture you can meet, I don't know why celebrity opinions are treated better than non celebrities. But we are just acknowledging it's sad that a young dad who just got married dying is a tragedy.

You would not be posting this if it was Raphinha - also 28 btw - killed in a road accident! Nor would you expect someone else to hold a similar view. Are you just after the controversy? Show some compassion.

Really poorly thought out post, mate. Firstly - We can all have room for both. We can be gutted on a daily basis for those being killed and subjected to horrors around the world, and also mourn the loss of a young lad with 3 kids. Secondly -...

I'm sorry I don't agree with all this "what about people dying in this place" nonsense. Obviously Hillsborough disaster had stronger emotional affect on Scousers Red and Blue, because it was or could have been their loved ones. Rhys Jones murder...

We put footballers on a pedestal or tear them apart when they dont perform. We forget they are just normal people with families too. A wife and 3 little kids see their whole world ripped apart along with all other family members. Terrible.

Awful, what a tragic loss of an excellent player and two young men in their prime with their whole lives ahead of them. Two brothers, what a devastating time this must be for that family. Awful tragedy, thoughts and prayers with those closest...

Feel for all his family, but genuinely cant even begin to fathom how his wife must be feeling. Marries the man she loves, and loses him a week later. Awful, awful news. RIP.
