I think it is quite clear we aren’t signing anyone else until we are back from the US. Think the starting XI for the Leeds game will consist of players currently at the club. Personally I’m more than a little bit disappointed with that.

There’s literally zero way you can be certain that this is ‘quite clear’.

It's a good question. Off the top of my head - Elite PL midfield players include : Rodri Rice Odegaard McAllister Guimares Fernandez Caicedo B. Fernandes I'm sure there are others that I can't recall. I'd put Luiz in the tier below those guys...

Yeah I think that's fair. He's not an 'elite' player but he is probably the top level of player that we could reasonably attract at this point in time At his best he would massively benefit our midfield and instantly be our best midfielder.

Who are you comparing him to? He's probably the highest level of established player we can attract. He will be on a different level on the ball to anyone we have had in central midfield since Arteta.
