Lol, genuinely this would ruin our transfer window if Moshiri was still running things. He'd spend the entire summer chasing it with him never returning our calls and forget to do anything else because he'd be so desperate to be able to show off...
Hobby analytics also like him because of his running - so that first point shouldn't be too much of an issue:
"Only one player across Europe's top seven leagues — Benfica's Vangelis Pavlidis — has made more runs in behind per 30 minutes of team...
Fair, I didn't watch tonight's match, but over the course of a whole season he's a well above-average striker in La Liga at the age of 22 and the recruitment team clearly think he's a good stylistic fit. That's an easy yes at that price imo.
To be fair that's just his release cause and the club have consistently been briefing to the press that they don't want to pay that.
I wouldn't be shocked if we start publicly pursuing another striker to get Villareal to the negotiating table...
To elaborate - exactly the sort of player we should be looking at, because: young, very good, g+a went down this year but underlying stats are still good so price won't be inflated, good enough to start for us but not enough of a finished product...
I know you're joking lol, but for other people's sake the numbers are what percentile he's in when compared to other players playing that position, not raw numbers
Answered my own question, looks like that Matteo Moretto is the guy who initially broke the news of him signing for Villareal last year. So he may well be clued in.
